"Reality, when it hits you, it doesn't hesitate to tap you softly against the chest. When it hits you, it's a full blow that makes you feel like you can't breathe anymore. "

It’s sad when you have that one person in your life who you used to be so tight with, only to realize that you two have drifted so drastically. It might be someone who you’d kick it with often; someone that you called, texted, and just conversed with on a daily; whether if it’s your ex or your former best friend. It sucks thinking back on the good times only to get that nostalgic feeling in return. Some days you get that feeling of longing, yearning and wishing that things would get back to the way they used to be. What sucks more is if you two don’t even acknowledge each other when you’re face to face. And then those crucial moments in life that you remember having specifically shared with them, just aren’t the same anymore. It’s even worse when you realize that you’re now reduced to being strangers, completely foreign to one another. The breaking point is when you sit back and think of that bond you guys shared and knowing it’s entirely gone and that no matter how much you try or want for it to be fixed.. it’ll never be like it used to be.
