"Reality, when it hits you, it doesn't hesitate to tap you softly against the chest. When it hits you, it's a full blow that makes you feel like you can't breathe anymore. "

When you’re in a long distance relationship, I guess there’s really not a lot you can expect from them. As much as they would want to, they can’t fulfil all your wants and needs to the best of your expectations. I always catch myself wanting more from my boyfriend and then I stop to realize that there’s really only so much he can do. He can’t exactly fly to your side every single time you need him. He can’t always respond to your texts right away either and you can’t always expect him to know there’s something wrong. Not saying that there’s an excuse for lack of effort they might show sometimes, but I’m just trying to say that there’s a lot of things you need to put into consideration before acting up. It’s hard because they can’t really back up their words with the proper actions because they’re not there physically. That’s why it’s nice to have those small reminders of how much you truly care and appreciate one another. I guess that’s why you should really cherish the little things. I know we hear that time and time again but I swear being in a LDR really made me cherish the small things that we’d normally take for granted. There’s really not much else you can do.
